OUTSWIM THE COMPETITION

The Reaction Wetsuit isn't just an upgrade - it's a game changer. Inspired by our expert-level Helix Wetsuit, the Reaction Wetsuit is crafted for swimmers who aim to be at the front of the pack. Redesigned upper-body paneling reacts to your natural rotation, creating more power and distance with every stroke.

The Reaction is built for the swimmer who demands nothing less than total freedom in their stroke. Crafted with premium Yamamoto neoprene, and featuring our unique single-piece shoulder design (no seams to get in your way), this wetsuit delivers unmatched flexibility and a fluid, uninterrupted range of motion. Ultra-flexible, thin neoprene in the arms eliminates restriction; no pulling, no resistance, just pure power through every phase of your swim.

For women, we didn’t simply tweak the color. Our women’s-specific fit is built for comfort and performance, with patterns and sizing designed support your unique body shape. No one-size-fits-all here—just a wetsuit that fits and performs better in the water.

When you need one wetsuit to crush your training goals or propel you to the finish line, the the Reaction doesn’t just keep up; it outperforms the competition.

Neoprene Buoyancy & Flexibility

When it comes to a swimming wetsuit, two factors really matter: Flexibility and Buoyancy. Thinner neoprene is more flexible, while thicker neoprene will provide more buoyancy.

Blueseventy wetsuits are strategically designed to offer the most flexibility where you need it, such as the arms, shoulders and upper back area. We use thin, 1.5mm - 2mm neoprene in these areas to offer complete freedom of movement throughout your entire stroke.

Thicker neoprene is placed in areas that typically tend to sink for swimmers, and where flexibility is not key. You'll find 4mm - 5mm neoprene in the chest, hips, and upper legs to enhance your swim form to be as efficient and streamlined as possible.

Hover over each neoprene thickness on the graphic to see how this wetsuit is constructed.

Sizing Tips

How to find your size

Use our handy size finder to pick the perfect wetsuit size. Simply select your gender, then enter your height (ft / in) and your weight (lbs). Click GET MY SIZE for your results. RACE FIT will be a tight fitting wetsuit that will give you the best overall performance, but may be challenging to get into. COMFORT FIT will be a more comfortable, easier to don wetsuit, but may not offer the fastest performance. If you have questions on wetsuit sizing, email us@blueseventy.com.

Men: The "T" (Tall sizes offer a longer torso with the same dimensions as the standard size. These sizes work best for a more taller, lean body type)

Women: The "A" (Athena) sizes offer a larger size for a shorter frame, allowing women with more curves to comfortably find a good size.

If your height and weight do not correspond to one size, use these guidelines for sizing up or down:
If you're taller than the recommended sizes for your weight, choose the closest size based on height.
If you're shorter than the recommended sizes for your weight, choose the closest size based on weight.

COMFORT vs PERFORMANCE

Our wetsuits are meant to fit like a second skin aka tight. A performance fit will be compressive and tight and may feel uncomfortable on land. If you are near the top of a size recommendation and prefer a more comfortable fit, size up.

REACTION

If your height and weight fall right between two sizes we recommend sizing down as the added side flex and fit panels can make this suit feel roomier.

Alliance & Glide

The Alliance and Glide wetsuit do not come in every wetsuit size. If your recommended size is not listed, please choose the best size based on your weight. For the Alliance, if you are near the top of a recommended size, we recommend sizing up as the front zipper makes the suit feel tighter in the chest and can be more difficult to get on and off.

Great fit - comfortable swim in low 60s water.
Reaction Wetsuit (Women's) WML
I really liked this suit from the first time I put it on. The fit is excellent and exactly as described in the size chart. (I'm 5'7 145-150 with an athletic build but hips slightly larger than shoulders.) I can zip it up myself and I feel free to move my arms normally while swimming. I have to leave the neck just a little undone to avoid that claustrophobic choking feeling but that seems to be easing as I wear the suit in/get used to the new cut. Noticeably more buoyant than my older/thinner sleeveless suit from another brand. (Sometimes so much floatation that I cannot keep my feet in the water when breaststroking for a break.) It has really helped keep me from getting cold in the early season where we lake swim. As it warms, I'll probably switch back to my sleeveless. Overall i'm really happy I got this.

Love this wetsuit!
Reaction Wetsuit (Women's) WM
I had a different brand long sleeve prior to this. The arm flexibility was terrible. This one is worth the splurge! It’s amazing doesn’t rub and the flexibility in swim strokes feels like you almost don’t have it on.

Blue Seventy Always Great
Reaction Wetsuit (Women's) WML
Having a bad shoulder, my last two wetsuits were Helix for less shoulder restriction and increased mobility; however, the shoulder material did not last long. The shoulder area of the Reaction appears more durable and still allows for good mobility with my shoulder issues.

I’ve swum 40 miles in...
Reaction Wetsuit (Women's) WM
I’ve swum 40 miles in this wetsuit over 16 swims, including a 7-miler, and waited to review it until I’d really put it to the test. This wetsuit fits like a second skin—I absolutely love it! It has kept me warm and comfortable in SoCal water temperatures ranging from 58º to 65º. (I switch to my Blue 70 Thermal Reaction below that!) At 5'8" and 135 pounds, size Medium fits me perfectly. Having owned a 2014 Reaction that lasted many seasons, I can confidently say the 2024 model is a huge upgrade. The lower-profile neck eliminates chafing (I always use BodyGlide). The suit ends at the base of my calves and thinner neoprene on the back panel makes removal much faster. The neoprene itself feels softer, higher quality, and more durable than other brands I’ve tried. Even as a seasoned wetsuit user, I appreciated the donning and removal videos, which offered helpful tips to minimize strain on the suit and easily remove the sleeves. The only improvement I’d suggest is an integrated suit saver to protect the Velcro collar tab from snagging on the lining. While I made one myself, it would be a welcome addition and is a standard feature on my scuba suit.

Excellent wetsuit
Reaction Wetsuit (Women's) WS
I think I'm going to love this wetsuit. I bought it for an ocean competition swim in May, 2024, so am not using it now in training (in a 80F heated pool). I'm 5'-5", 125 lbs, broad shoulders, and a size M feels tight but is the correct size for me.
