Sponsorship Report: blueseventy athletes making waves

This past weekend we had some terrific race results from our professional athlete's racing all over the world.  First up with some race wins we saw canadian Rachel McBride won 70.3 Calgary.   
Eric Limkemann (USA) preparing to take on his first Ironman this year won Challenge New Albany - a new 70.3/half-iron distance event in Ohio. Jen Spieldenner(USA)  was 2nd on the women's side. 
In Whistler British Columbia at Ironman Canada, Anna Cleaver (NZL) was 1st out of the water in her Helix wetsuit for pro women and placed 5th at the finish.   Jackie Arendt (USA- TImex) edged Cleaver at the finish taking 4th.  Jeff symonds (CAN) finished 2nd, Paul Ambrose (AUS) 3rd in a fast paced men's pro race.
Across the country in Lake Placid New York - Lisa Roberts (USA - Timex) earned 3rd in the women's pro race at Ironman Lake Placid.
Off to Switzerland where fast swimming Cat Jameson (GBR) was first out of the water at Zurich 5150 and finished 5th place.
Conrad Stoltz (RSA) rounds out our triathlon global tour with a 3rd place finish at Xterra Italy
At the Commonwealth Games there is swimming and triathlon results to report
In swimming: Chris Walker Hebborn earned  Gold in the 100m backstroke with a games record. He has another shot at gold in Medley Relay tomorrow.
Rowan Crothers scored Gold S9 100 free with a World Record (paraswimming) - 54 seconds for long course, impressive result!
In triathlon: Lucy Hall (GBR) was first out of the water in the women's triathlon and 11th overall.  Aileen Reid (IRE) was 6th.
Aaron Harris (GBR) was 6th in his first major Games triathlon, another really solid result for this season! Tony Dodds (NZL) was 10th.
In the triathlon mixed relay event - South Africa's team finished 2nd with our athlete Kate Roberts.  The New Zealand squad placed 5th with Tony Dodds and Ryan Sissons representing on the team.

The UK had the blueseventy sponsored BIG SWIM 5K swim event this weekend - lots of great performances - notably blueseventy ambassador  Di Lee won the female division swim.
Our own Tom Whitfield tackled the blueseventy sponsored Outlaw triathlon.  Completing the Iron distance race in style with a smile and on borrowed equipment. Way to earn your blisters Tom!
