sponsorship highlights- Ironman Frankfurt, Outlaw Triathlon

blueseventy sponsorship not only supports the fastest athletes in the world but iconic events as well.

This past weekend in Nottingham UK the Outlaw Triathlon was held.  This was the 4th annual running of the event - an independent iron-distance event that is rapidly grown to be one of the UK summer's featured events.  blueseventy was there with staff on the ground fitting wetsuits and supporting athletes pre race as well as over the 2.4 miles swim, 112 mile bike and marathon distance run.  Super swimmer & Olympian Triathlete Lucy Hall (pictured) even stopped in for a demo swim.

In Frankfurt Germany for the Ironman European Championships, blueseventy athlete Camilla Pedersen stormed to the biggest win of her young career.  In a competitive field Camilla pushed to her limits collapsing at the finish line notching a sub-9 hour time!  Camilla has recovered well and it aiming for Kona and beyond in her still young career.

In a few other events worldwide, Rachel McBride won the Squamish BC triathlon- a small event in British Columbia.  Rachel is a new pro, works with Wattie Ink - a partner of ours in multiple sponsorships.  Rachel has a rock-star look and often even dyes her spiked hair purple.

Longtime blueseventy athlete Cat Morrison finished 2nd in 70.3 Norway.  Cat is coming back from injury and surgeries in 2012.  So far she has had 2-3 podiums in 2013.

Finally, Nicky Samuels from New Zealand finished 5th in the insanely tough WTS Kitzbuhel Austria. The race was a "sprint" distance but it is a notoriously tough course featuring a climb on the bike with an incline 23%!
