Welcome Sophie

blueseventy has welcomed the British medley swimmer Sophie Allen to their team as she targets the podium at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games and European Championships this summer.

Sophie, who is coached by Dave McNulty at the British Swimming Training Centre in Bath, combines her boundless enthusiasm for swimming and her will to win to make her one of Britain’s most successful medley and breaststroke swimmers, not to mention the bubbliest!

The former European silver medalist won gold at the 2013 USA vs. Europe Duel in Pool, and at just 22 has represented Great Britain at multiple World Championships and collected multiple medals at FINA World Cup events.

“blueseventy’s nero14 is a great suit, I feel really comfortable and confident racing in. Being a medley swimmer I obviously have to swim all the strokes and I find nero14 offers the compression I need without feeling restrictive, even on breaststroke,” said Sophie.

“Working with the team at blueseventy up to the Commonwealth Games is a really exciting prospect and I’m confident I’m going to be swimming fast in blueseventy this summer.”

Sophie will race the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke at Glasgow 2014, but will first of all compete at the prestigious Mare Nostrum Championships in Europe over the next week.
