A native of New Zealand, Kimberley Chambers has been living in the San Francisco Bay Area for almost two decades. After an accident, in which she nearly lost her leg, she began swimming four years ago as part of rehabilitation and got hooked. Three years ago she started open water swimming with an Alcatraz crossing and since then has completed 5 of the Oceans Seven swims and Farallon Island relay swims. She particularly likes cold, shark-infested water and all her swims follow English Channel rules: just a swimsuit, cap and goggles. Kimberley is a big fan of the Energy Stripe swimsuit and Hydra Vision goggles.
