After a swollen right knee caused blueseventy’s Stuart Hayes to take a trip to the emergency room Saturday evening, the pain and swelling mysteriously subsided and Hayes became Sunday’s improbable winner in 1 hour 48 minutes 9.2 seconds.

Today saw Bryan Rhodes win his 4th Ironman title. Bryan, known for his strong swim-bike combination and racing from the front, came home strongly indeed at today’s Subaru Ironman Canada running a brilliant 2:55 marathon in a closely fought men’s race to take the title.
