Weekend action from blueseventy athletes 8/9 June

 

Blueseventy athletes were swimming faster all over the world this weekend, and crossing finishing lines ahead of the rest! Here’s a quick round up from around the world.

James Hodge went from winning the swim to winning the race at Ironman 70.3 Japan.  James is a 21 year old full time student from Australia and is a great up and coming talent to watch out for.

At Ironman Cairns (AUS) Liz Blatchford won the race and Gina Crawford was 2nd; both are blueseventy athletes.  Clayton Fettell was first out of the water and finished 5th and Tim Berkel was 2nd on the podium.

Angela Naeth, a new athlete with us this year won Eagleman 70.3. On the men’s side Timex Team pro Victor Zyemstev finished 3rd and Greg Bennett was right behind in 4th.

Maliaka Homo was first female out of the water at Boise 70.3

The prestigious French Grand Prix race series has started and the second round too place this weekend featuring an incredible number of Olympians, world champions and up and coming stars racing in teams over the sprint distance. Nicky Samuels and Gwen Jorgenson finished 2nd and 3rd this weekend.
